FAQs
What is the difference between the Personal IFAK and the Backpack Trauma Kit?
The Personal IFAK is intended to be carried in a cargo pocket or small bag. This kit is intended primarily for self-aid in the event of a serious injury involving heavy bleeding or a deep penetrating wound. The Backpack Trauma Kit enhances your ability to respond a broader range of traumatic injuries and is designed to compliment the Personal IFAK’s capabilities. Contents of the Backpack Trauma Kit allow the user to treat adults, children, and even pets effectively.
What does the Pocket Survival Fire Kit include for tinder and how do I use them?
The contents of the fire kit include 2 means of starting a fire (BIC lighter and UCO matches) and 3 sources of tinder (gorilla tape, tinder rope, and petrolatum-soaked cotton balls). The tape can be shredded, torn into strips and molded into a loose ball. The tinder rope can be loosened with strands pulled apart. The cotton balls can be pulled and opened into fluffy balls. These sources of tinder will burn for minutes each and can be used separately or combined into a single tinder source.
Can I use the Pocket Emergency Shelter Kit as a tent or tarp replacement?
The kit is intended for emergency use only. The emergency shelter kit is not meant to be used as a primary means of protecting against the elements or preventing hypothermia and does not replace the protection offered by a tent or tarp.
